Recipes

CHANNA MASALA Suggested recipe for 250 gm of kabuli channa. Cooking directions 1. Soak 250 gm kabuli channa overnight with tea bags. 2. On the cooking day, boil the channa. 3. Heat 50 gm oil/ghee in a pan. 4. Put slits of green chilies, 1 tsp garlic paste and 1 tsp ginger paste. 5. Add 1 chopped onion (curry cut) and stir fry till golden brown. 6. Once the mix is golden brown, add salt to taste and 1 tsp chili powder and 2 tsp Saadhi Loonkie ‘Punjabi Channa Masala’ and mix well. 7. Further add chopped tomatoes and stir till oil separate from the mix. 8. Once the oil separates from the mix, add boiled kabuli channa to the masala and water as per the desired gravy (if needed). 9. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. 10. In the end, garnish the aromatic Punjabi Channa Masala with slit ginger, slit green chilies and coriander leaves on the top. For breathtaking aroma, heat 2 tsp of ‘Punjabi Channa Masala’ in the hot ghee and pour the magic on top of the final serving!
